Whatever part you play within the profession, it’s almost certain that your work or your studies have been made better by the efforts of volunteers.
Last year we received over 50 nominees all of which celebrated the amazing things members and other advocates of physiotherapy achieve.
The CSP are asking you again this year to tell us about member or non-member volunteers who deserve recognition for the effort they make on behalf of others.
CSP assistant director Rob Ledger and chair of the recognition awards panel said: ‘We are excited to read the nominations again this year as it’s an opportunity for us to celebrate and recognise the amazing things members and other advocates are achieving on behalf of physiotherapy.’
Maybe a workplace rep has helped you through a challenging employment issue. Perhaps you’ve extended your professional knowledge through a network’s learning events. You may not have seen it first hand, but you’ve probably felt the benefit from some of the influencing work members are doing, often behind the scenes, to promote physiotherapy.
Award categories
- Network of the year recognises the CSP network which has had the biggest impact on behalf of CSP members.
- Volunteer of the year is wider in scope and aims to highlight the work of anyone in a CSP voluntary role.
- Influencer of the year is for someone who has made a major contribution to championing physiotherapy, without necessarily being in a formal volunteering role. It could be a CSP member or equally another professional, a journalist or a patient perhaps that most deserves this one.
Make your nominations before 10am on 9 September.
The CSP also wants to ensure members who deserve to be commended for their leadership in building the physio community, advocacy, or peer to peer support can be recognised at any time. That’s why we are also launching commendations which are open all year round.
