NHS England and NHS Improvement and Health Education England have partnered with other organisations to produce a new e-learning session about Long Covid and post-Covid-19 syndrome for all healthcare professionals. The 30-minute session provides an overview of the emerging condition, explains the common signs and symptoms, refers to the findings of recent investigations and highlights how patients might be assessed and supported.
Free Parkinson’s UK training for exercise and physical activity providers
Parkinson’s UK has launched free online training for exercise and physical activity providers who want to learn more about Parkinson’s and the importance of staying active when living with the condition.
Parkinson’s: physical activity and exercise is an inclusive, entry-level two hour course that aims to increase knowledge about the condition, as well as teach providers how to deliver Parkinson’s appropriate exercises. Sign up here to register.
Proud To Be…campaign
Black History Month UK magazine has launched a new campaign called ‘Proud To Be’ to mark Black History Month 2021.
The campaign is inviting Black and Brown people across the UK to share what they are proud to be. For example, Proud To Be Black, Proud To Be Brown, Proud To Be Black & LGBTQ+, Proud To Be Me.

Confident appraisal conversations
Health Education England have released a new e-learning module to help healthcare and NHS line managers to have more confident appraisal conversations with their staff.
The resource includes videos that provide examples of good experiences of annual appraisals, pay step conversations and general supervisory meetings. plus tips on how to have effective discussions. For more information and to access the session here.
