Llandough physio staff with gifts in memory of Sally Hayward
Sally Hayward was a physiotherapist at the south Wales hospital for 29 years, but lost her fight with cancer on 29 October 2013.
In Sally’s memory, her friends and colleagues have organised an annual collection of shoeboxes and gift bags. They are filled with gifts to give to older patients who are in Llandough hospital at Christmas and who may not have family and friends visiting over the festive period.
This year the gifts – typically toiletries, puzzle books, bed socks or tissues with a maximum value of £10 – will be distributed on 21 December.
Philippa Ford, CSP public affairs and policy manager for Wales, said: ‘I had the greatest pleasure of knowing Sally Hayward, who was a wonderful physio and loved by everyone she worked with.
‘This is a very fitting way to pay tribute to Sally.’
