The statistics are part of new policy briefings for Scotland and Northern Ireland, which outline the benefits of physiotherapy in primary care. Members can download these from the CSP website.
Updated versions of the Physiotherapy Works for Primary Care briefings for England and Wales are also available.
CSP head of policy Rachel Newton told Frontline: ‘Policy makers are looking at ways to improve care outside of hospitals and increase the capacity in general practice.
‘CSP members all over the UK are rising to this challenge. Many of them have helped us to produce a range of materials, including these briefings, which I’m sure other members will find useful.’
The documents, Think Physio for Primary Care, are available to download.
